Widex Digital Hearing Aids
- CLEAR 440 and Fusion 440
- Replacing the Mind 440, Widex have brought out their first ever wireless hearing aid, the Clear 440. It is available in a full range of custom and behind the ear styles including the minute receiver in the ear model known as the Fusion 440.
Incorporating an array of new features that further improve on the Mind, the Clear 440 aims to replicate the way we hear; how we perceive, assess and process different sounds instantaneously.
In order to do this it utilises several new technologies. TruSound Softener is designed to deal with sudden uncomfortable sounds while the Inter Ear Speech Enhancer helps single out individual speakers in noise. It also includes the new Digital Pinna feature, which mimics the ears natural ability to locate sounds from any direction.
Other than that it also includes many of the groundbreaking features of its predecessor the Mind 440, including the Zen program, which is aimed at helping relaxation.
As far as the wireless features of the Clear range go, it was launched with 3 optional facilities. There is a remote control for adjusting volume and program changes, there is the TV – DEX, which is designed for wireless streaming of television and audio and the M-DEX which streams your mobile phone to the hearing aids.
The Fusion 440 is perhaps the most flexible hearing aid Widex have ever produced in that there is a choice of three different power levels, making it suitable for anything from a mild to a profound hearing loss. It also includes a telecoil and a new microphone cover which reduces wind noise by 16db.

- Clear 330 and Fusion 330
- Incorporating the same new signal processing platform as the Clear 440, but at a more modest price, the Clear 330 is a 10 channel instrument designed with focus on the pleasure of hearing.
Like the Clear 440 range it is fully compatable with the full range of DEX wireless assistive devices.
Its features include Zen tones (designed to combat fatigue and help manage tinnitus), TruSound Softener (which aims to nullify loud sounds such as slamming doors), InterEar (which enables two hearing aids to communicate together working in complete harmony) and Speech Enhancer (which aims to enhance speech in background noise.
It is available in a full range of BTE and custom fits models including CIC (completely in the canal) and the new Fusion.

- Clear 220 and Fusion 220
- The third member of the Clear family of hearing instruments is the Clear 220, a five channel instrument which is esentially the lowest cost solution in the Clear range.
As with the 440 and the 330 it encompasses Widex' new fitting platform and is compatable with the DEX range of wireless assistive devices.
Its features include Audibility Extender, Zen tones and Clear Band.
As with other models in the Clear series it is available in three different Behind The Ear models including Fusion 220 and a full choice of custom made shells including CIC, (Completely in the Canal).
- Mind 440, Mind 330 and Mind 220
- The Mind range of hearing aids is still readily available but have been replaced by the Clear 440, 330 and 220.
